Wanting to write a WWII style story and I've been researching about ships but I was wondering if there were any non-fiction or fiction novels on like Naval Combat that could help me
Fiction: I would recommend the authors Douglas Reeman, C.S. Forester, Nicholas Monsarrat, or, of course, ”Das Boot”, which is as good a book as it is a film.
Factuals: James D. Hornficher’s ”Neptune’s inferno”, ”Shattered Sword” (can’t remember the author, but Midway from japanese perspective), Stephen Roskill “The Navy at War”,… and many more.
