Good morning everyone, this is my first time posting on Reddit, so please bear with me. I need help choosing a book series for a book club I'm starting for 2026, and I already have a list of books (but I'd like more just to be safe). So far, I've marked: The Neverending Story (Ende), Atonement (McEwan), The Late Mattia Pascal (Pirandello), If on a Winter's Night a Traveler (Calvino), and The Bird Who Turned the Screws of the World (Murakami).

Does anyone have any other recommendations?

    Thanks so much in advance!

Bonus if they're in different genres and are fiction.

House of Leaves by Danielewski is perfect for this – it’s absolutely wild how the book’s physical structure becomes part of the story. Also maybe check out The Princess Bride since it’s got that whole “manuscript within a manuscript” thing going on but way more accessible than some of the heavier options on your list
