The 1950s weren’t that glitzy for those living through the era – particularly in the UK [rationing still going, no-one had any money.] The Girls of Slender Means by Muriel Spark captures this perfectly but it’s not a glam world!
If you want glamour, I suppose a biog of someone like Princess Margaret would have all the glitz?
