I'm currently writing a novel to evolve my writing style. After doing it for a year and googling tips and tricks I have improved, but I would like to be a better writer. I especially struggle with the "show, don't tell" aspect. I like what I write, but not how I write it. It's not moving or beautiful or full of descriptions that create a visceral reaction.

I would appreciate tips on well written novels 🙂 I don't really care about the plot or the premise. The language can be Danish, Norwegian, Swedish or English. Translations are okay too, as long as the books stay true to the authors "voice" and writing style.

    1. You’re on the right track, reading beautiful literature is so much more important than googling tips. However, your question is way too vast – most classic literature will be ”well written” so the possibilities here are endless.

What kind of literature do you read? What have been some of your favourites in terms of that visceral reaction so far? As a general rule though, move away from Tik tok books and towards classic literature.
