Super into architecture, have been since I was a kid, and I was always OBSESSED with the idea of finding a secret passage of some sort.
Bonus points if there is a secret society of some sort. Bonus bonus points if there's a sort of dark academia or gothic vibe to it. I know Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo ticks all of these boxes, but I DNF that book because of the writing style unfortunately.
Just love a good mysterious house/campus/mansion, honestly. Does not need to be fantasy, but I do love fantasy. Any sort of secret rooms, tunnels, passageways, societies, even leading to a secret town or something (I'm talking about you, Barbie of Swan Lake), etc.
YA is fine, but Adult fiction is preferred. No Sci-Fi though, please.
TIA!

Oh man you HAVE to check out The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo – wait no that’s not right lmao
Try The Silent Companions by Laura Purcell, it’s got this creepy old mansion with all sorts of hidden stuff and definitely hits that gothic vibe you’re after. Also maybe The Little Stranger by Sarah Waters if you want something that’ll give you chills about old houses with secrets
Check out Piranesi by Susanna Clarke
