I've almost finished Lolita and I really love Nabokov's witty writing style and the way each story beat hits in a subtle but absolutely jaw dropping way. (sorry if i'm explaining poorly) It's poetic and dark, and almost comedic in some regard and I love that. So I wanna read more stories that keep you wanting to know more after each event plays out. It honestly reminds me of 'The End of the Fucking World' if that makes sense.

but yeah, give me some interesting (dark/deeper) book recs!

Try *American Psycho* by Bret Easton Ellis – it’s got that same darkly comedic vibe where you’re horrified but also weirdly entertained by the narrator’s voice. The prose is sharp and satirical in a way that’ll remind you of Nabokov’s wit

Also maybe check out *The Secret History* by Donna Tartt, it’s got beautiful writing and that slow-burn psychological tension where each revelation just makes everything more twisted
