*How to Read Donald Duck: Imperialist Ideology in the Disney Comic*

In my reading, I’ve found not that fascists disrespect art, but use it to their advantage. Some good books on the topic:
The Cult of Art in Nazi Germany, Michaud & Lloyd
Totalitarian Art, Golomstock
The Renaissance Perfected: Architecture, Spectacle, and Tourism in Fascist Italy, Lasansk

This is one of those topics I’d ask an art history librarian about, so get yourself to a good library and you’ll find out a lot in one visit no doubt. A search term for you might be “degenerate art,” which is wha the Nazi’s called the art they collected/stole, sold and destroyed. I saw [a fantastic exhibit](https://www.museepicassoparis.fr/en/degenerate-art-modern-art-trial-under-nazis) at the Jewish Museum in Paris about it, there’s a published catalog which I bet has more info and resources but I’m not sure how easy it is to get into your hands outside of Paris.
