Hello! I am looking to start reading more and I have been really wanting to get into reading womens literature. I honestly don't read too much either, I only read 2 books last year so I'm looking for some beginner friendly and captivating books. I'm also open to other genres as well!

What kind of stories are you interested in?
The Power by Naomi Alderman
The Dream Hotel by Laila Lalami
The Bewitching by Silvia Moreno-Garcia (if you’re ok with some light horror)
Lucy Maude Montgomery is a pretty accessible author and her books are lovely.
My Brilliant Friend, by Elena Ferrante, is about 2 girls growing up in Naples, Italy in the 1950s.
Elin Hildebrand is really good. She’s light but it still has some emotional depth usually without being over the top. Gossipy and fun too. The Winter in Paradise trilogy is my favourite, but if you want mystery there’s The Perfect Couple, or sometime a bit more emotional then The Nantucket series is quite good
My two favorite reads of last year were Lady Tan’s Circle of Women and Lion Women of Tehran. Both stories of female friendship over lifetimes.
Conversations with Friends by Sally Rooney
