Hello, everyone!
I'm here to ask for recommendations for fantasy books and sci-fi books in which the trope of the found family plays an important and/or central role. I'm open to all types of recommendations even books that are less known, my only ‘criteria’ is, if possible, no romantasy or no or very little YA fantasy. Sorry if my English isn't perfect, it's not my native language.
Thank you in advance!

The Goblin Emperor by Katherine Addison is perfect for this – Maia basically builds his own family from scratch in the imperial court and it’s so wholesome
Also maybe check out The Fifth Season by N.K. Jemisin, the found family aspects hit really hard especially in the later books
SC FI novels while Dark Matter explores the harrowing cost of a physicist’s choice across parallel realities, Dune charts a messianic rise amidst brutal interstellar feudalism, and The Murderbot Diaries captures the internal struggle of a lethal android who prefers media binges to human interaction.
You may enjoy *The Blade Itself* trilogy.
