Basically I’m getting less interested in whodunnit murder mysteries. Even if I didn’t see the twist coming it’s just not that fulfilling. So I think I’d want to try a novel where we already know who did it, but the mystery is why or how they did it. Does anyone have any good recommendations?

The Secret History uses this frame work.
The devotion to suspect X by Keigo Higashi
You know who and why they did it, but you don’t know how their alibi works.
Try Patricia Highsmith. The Ripley books are vg.
