Ships, cargo ships, submarines, oil platforms, diving suits, underwater cables, quasi-infinite bodies of water, feelings of isolation, loneliness, abandonement, vulnerability, helplessness, etc.
The source of terror can be anything, as long as the atmosphere I am referring to is maintained, although the more prominent the oceanic/maritime context is in that terror, the better. Similarly, I would like it to be a harsh, raw and serious book. In English or Spanish, both are fine.
Thanks in advance!

I read this maybe a week or so before the OceanGate Titan submersible implosion and… just read it.
The terror – Dan Simmons. Very nautical but the fear factor is a bit more ice than thalassophobia
