As the title says, I’m looking for books that fit the narrative non-fiction books that cover topics such as the Great Recession, Great Depression, Black-Out Monday (1987 or 1929), etc. A lot of finance books these days are written by self described “guru’s” who will get you rich quick. Does anyone have recommendations that would be helpful and not trying to sell you a course?

The Big Short by Michael Lewis is perfect for this – covers the 2008 crisis without any get-rich-quick nonsense. Also check out Too Big to Fail by Andrew Ross Sorkin, it reads like a thriller but it’s all real
