Books that are very intense, page-gripping, and emotional?

I recently read Mysterious Skin and it absolutely destroyed me, I loved the beautiful writing style, and I need something that will have me clenching my butt cheeks with anticipation, but also have tears falling from my face cheeks. I want to FEEL. I also liked All the Bright Places, A Little Life and The Virgin Suicides. I don't mind darker subject matter, I enjoy books that stress me out.
