Would love to hear suggestions for cozy and heartwarming fiction novels. Looking for stories with uplifting and inspirational characters and themes. Any and all recommendations are greatly appreciated.
If you’re open to very long books, I recommend [The Hands of the Emperor](https://share.google/ID8EUnwDjqkoB35LB) by Victoria Goddard! It’s a beautifully written, slice of life book about the personal secretary to the emperor of the world, with a heavy focus on platonic relationships.

I loved The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet by Becky Chambers. It’s a lighthearted space opera that follows a crew on a ship and their interpersonal relationships.

**Legends & Latte**s by **Travis Baldree**. Female Orc Adventurer decides she has had enough of dungeon diving, sleeping on the cold ground, and risking her life escorting merchants through dangerous lands, and hangs her sword up (literally over the Bar) and opens up the first Coffee shop in the kingdom. 3 books in the series so far with Book 2 being a fun back story to book 1, and book 3, the MC changes and it’s about a friend Liv made in book 2 trying to figure out what she wants to do with her life. really great slice of life fantasy stories.
**Cursed Cocktails** by **S.L Rowland**. Similar story to L&L, but the MC is a Blood Elf who has retired for military life and decides to settle down and open up a bar, serving all the wild and rare cocktails/drinks from across the world. It is in a 3 book series (so far, and more books to come) but the other books are not sequential, just tales form other parts of the kingdom, and each can be read on its own.
Book 2 is actually one of my favorite recent reads Titled **Sword & Thistle**. The MC has become a solo adventurer not wanting to join a party after a disaster in a dungeon that took the life of a friend. Now he just adventures alone. He gets a commission to find and bring back a very rare item for a Noble’s Exotic Dinner party. Throughout the book he learns to trust other people again and how its not a bad thing to rely on others.
Book 3 is **The Halfling’s Harvest,** and the MC is a female halfling who has taken over her family vineyard and winemaking business. For 9 years in a row she has come in second place in the annual Harvest Festival winemaking championship and she vows to take 1st this year. However, someone appears to be sabotaging her grapes and her wine cellar. Really fun cozy mystery, with a great life lesson about taking a step back and seeing what your life is really about (and its nto about just winning a gold ribbon at a fair).
