My 13yo son needs a nonfiction book for school that is over 300 pages.
I have found a few that he is at least somewhat interested in, but they are under the 300 page requirement.
He loves football and Eminem. There are a couple teen friendly biographies of Eminem, but those fall closer to the 200 page range.
He is also a bit behind reading level for his age.
Any ideas?

How about “Hip-Hop Is History” by Questlove?
Narrative nonfiction may be a good bet – lots of good stuff out there that reads like a story and will draw you in. Into Thin Air by Jon Krakauer is a great example but you’d have to decide on appropriateness for his age and reading level
***Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop: A Hip Hop History, Young Adult Edition* by Jeff Chang (2021)** looks somewhat promising.
How about “Paper Lion” by George Plimpton? An oldie but a football classic. Lots of adventure/travel books would also work such as “Into Thin Air” or “A Walk In the Woods” if he likes the outdoors.
Summer of the Monkeys, 288 pages so close!
Nvm you said non fiction, sorry!
Edit for correction
The Blind side?
Malcolm Gladwell’s pop psychology books are super interesting. Outliers, What The Dog Saw, etc. Usually pretty popular reading for that age group.v
Boys Will Be Boys is about the Dallas Cowboys back in the 90s
