I've only read Small Gods By Pratchett and Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka, but I love both of them. I do like the humour in both books. I will check out other work from those two, but what else would you recommend?.

I'm quite new to reading so you can suggest popular stuff as well as niche books. Any genre or it being old/new is fine.

      Interesting combination!
      Maybe try:

      The Hike by Drew Magary

Jellyfish Dreams by M Thomas Gammarino

Broom of the System by David Foster Wallace

      Jitterbug Perfume by Tom Robbins

The Unconsoled by Kazuo Ishiguro. It’s hella Kafkaesque but a masterpiece in its own right.

    3. If you like Kafka, you might enjoy The Street Of Crocodiles by Bruno Schulz. He translated Kafka into Polish, and his fiction is grouped with Kafka by many critics.

I haven’t read the Pratchett book but I love the metamorphosis. You might like Kevin wilson books, they’re absurd and funny, “nothing to see here” is about a babysitter for kids who catch on fire and its hilarious

    5. *Monday Starts on Saturday* by Arkady and Boris Strugatsky — I saw someone describe it as something Pratchett might have written if he’d grown in the USSR and I agree.

*The Third Policeman* by Flann O’Brien — like every bad dream I’ve ever had, in the best way, i.e. a Kafka kind of way.

    6. Try Jasper Fforde’s Thursday Next series. The wonders if being a literary detective. Start with The Eyre Affair. ☺️
