Hi! I’m flying next week and thought I could kill some time by reading to not be glued to a screen all the time. However I really don’t know what to read.
I haven’t really read a book besides academia in years. Only thing closest to a fictional book I’ve read are comics or manga. Used to read fantasy or crime as a teen, though now I enjoy anything that just captures my attention. I don’t really mind any genre, and any old or new book could work.
Last three movies I watched: Upgraded ( thought it was ok, a bit cliche but was not really bored when I watched it), Avatar (a nice watch, though felt that the story is getting repetitive with the previous two), Chainsaw man (I liked this one, enjoyed the deeper meaninga behind it)

Based on what you liked about Chainsaw Man, maybe try something like The Road by Cormac McCarthy or Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir – both have that deeper meaning stuff but aren’t too heavy for a flight
Also if you’re coming from manga/comics, graphic novels like Saga or Sandman might be a good bridge back into reading
