I could go on and on about the things I loved in this book but I’ll list the ones that really reeled me into saying that this is my favorite book so far.

In general, I am looking for another book with the same tone. If I’m not mistaken, and do correct me if I’m wrong, along the lines of gothic literature.

I loved TPoDG’s characters (the development especially of a good/neutral character turned corrupted, and it being done so smoothly that it wasnt jarring) effective plot & plot device, and gives you things to think about (ie some of lord henry’s dialogue that give you a perspective that you wouldve never thought of yourself)

I am grateful for any response! 🥹💕

My favorite novel of all time 💙. I wrote a bit of a ramble on it on reddit a while ago would you like to see it?

    2. Ooh, there’s so much to explore, lol. Dorian Gray is what got me into reading more and more literature of that time with spooky overtones.

I definitely think your next read should be *The Woman in White* by Wilkie Collins (1860). It’s lesser known, but it has everything you’re talking about.

Of course, *Jane Eyre* is a must. One of the most beautifully written books I’ve ever read, rife with secrecy, deception, spookiness … it’s breathtaking. I could go on and on with a huge list but that can get overwhelming. So I’ll just say, try Woman in White and Jane Eyre!
