I've come to accept that all my favorite books are generational family stories: East of Eden, Pachinko and A Thousand Splendid Suns are some of my favorites. Can anyone recommend any other must-read titles in this category?
One Hundred Years of Solitude is like the gold standard for this genre – it’s wild and magical but follows this family through generations in the most beautiful way. Also check out The Thorn Birds if you want something that’ll make you ugly cry
