Hi guys!
Does anybody have any world war 2 book suggestions? My anniversary is coming up and my boyfriend recently mentioned that he’d like to start reading war memoirs. He loves tv shows like band of brothers, the pacific, masters of air, etc (not my kinda thing so I’m not super educated on those).
Reading is my favourite hobby and I really want him to get into it too because I love it so much! I want to get him some books for our anniversary but want them to be good and keep him hooked 🙂
We’re British so extra points for the European side of things but he’s generally just really interested in all of it!
Any suggestions would be super appreciated 🙂

For memoirs, I’d recommend ‘The Forgotten Soldier’ by Guy Sajer. I feel it gets overlooked because it’s written by a German soldier.
I’d also suggest ‘A Bridge Too Far’. Not a memoir, but good nonetheless. And there’s quite a bit of British focus in it.
