    Yes, specifically Germany, England, and Japan (but I'd also appreciate suggestions about France and Italy). Any genre is fine with me, even treatises are accepted. But if the book has been written recently I would prefer it to be historically accurate.

      Have you checked out *Outlander* by Diana Gabaldon? It’s got 18th century Scotland/England and the historical detail is pretty solid. Also *Memoirs of a Geisha* covers Japan around that era if you don’t mind it being slightly later period

      For Germany maybe try *The Tin Drum* though that’s more 20th century… actually scratch that, for 18th century Germany I’d go with anything by Goethe himself since you said treatises are cool
