Preferably whimsical fantasies in magical worlds!
The author's writing was so engaging and howl was such a mood! Don't know how to describe him, he's sometimes a quirky drama queen but in a very sweet endearing way making him so relatable. He's also kind, flawed, thoughtful and most importantly respects women. The whole book was soft but not sickly sweet with enough depth for characters making you root for them. On the other hand, I'm done with arrogant and indifferent male leads who keeps treating the female lead badly, then fall in love suddenly and turn soft (uprooted for one).

The Raven Boys series has Gansey who’s dramatic and thoughtful in that same way! Also Stardust by Neil Gaiman, Tristan starts whiny but grows into someone genuinely sweet
