Hello, I’m after some suggestions for a book series to read please.
I’ve read the following series (amongst others of a similar nature)
– Alex Cross
– Washington Poe
– Robert Hunter
– Michael Bennett
– Will Trent
That type of thing. I can do standalone books but I’m more interested in a full series that I can get my teeth into. The darker the better.
Thanks very much 🙏

I’ve really enjoyed the DCI Logan series by JD Kirk. It’s a Scottish police series with 20+ books in it plus some spin offs.
John Connolly’s Charlie Parker series. First book is Every Dead Thing.
John Sandford’s Lucas Davenport series. First Book is Rules of Prey.
Harlan Coben’s Myron Bolitar series. First book is Deal Breaker.
I just finished the **Thomas Prescott Series** by **Nick Pirog**, and I really enjoyed it.
Book 1 **Unforseen**, Newly retired (forced out of the department) homicide detective, Thomas Prescott’s last case comes back to haunt him. He stopped a serial killer but Thomas knows that the killer is not really dead, even though his old department and chief closed the case. On the anniversary of the first murder, the serial killer comes back, but he is targeting the women in Thomas’s life now.
I’m also a fan of the **Jack Reacher** Novels, but they do get a bit repetitive.
**The Stephanie Plumb** series by **Janet Evanovich** are quite funny as the MC is a former lingerie buyer who loses her job and after being pushed (by he mother) into working for her cousin’s bail bond business, decides that she wants the big money of being a professoinal bounty hunter.
For mystery suspense + fantasy (witches, vampires, and the supernatural) **Kim Harrisson**’s Series **The Hollows** was a fun read. MC’s both worked for the Cinncinati Police department in the paranormal division and go out on their own as private detectives. One is a witch the other a vampire.
**The Kings Watch** series by **Mark Hayden** is another Urban Fantasy that takes place in England. MC is a former RAF helicopter pilot who gets involved with the supernaturals and joins a secret department of the British government that polices and monitors all the supernatural creatures in England.
The first dozen Lucas Davenport novels by John Sandford.
The Dave Robicheaux novels by James Lee Burke.
The Matt Scudder novels by Lawrence Block.
