Hi, I recently read "Come As You Are" by Emily Nagoski which taught me so much about myself and relationships and I am looking for more books like that
I feel like I missed out on lot of life lessons growing up and would like to find books that help me develop into a better person. I understand there a lot of self help books out there but what I am looking for are books that go more in depth into the science of what the fundamental lesson of the book is and less of a "here's some tricks i learned that don't actually matter that much " kind of thing. An example that comes to mind of what I am looking for is "Grit" by Angela Duckworth.
Thanks in advance

Dude you’re totally on the right track! If you loved the science-backed approach in those books, definitely check out “Atomic Habits” by James Clear – it’s all about the neuroscience behind habit formation without the fluff. Also “Mindset” by Carol Dweck is amazing for understanding the psychology behind how we approach challenges and growth
For something a bit more intense, “The Body Keeps the Score” by Bessel van der Kolk dives deep into trauma and healing from a medical perspectice, really eye-opening stuff about how our brains work
I think it doesn’t matter what books you read I think the only thing that matters is you do. Every book shit or good has something to teach you.
