i have a special ed sophomore teen who has been assessed to be reading at a 4th-5th grade level. Her struggles are cognitive.
I'm going to start a reading routine with her with a chapter book in hopes that reading becomes an enjoyable time with dad rather than just a boring school assignment.
her interests: true crime, horror, mystery, and typical teen girl stuff.
any recommendations are greatly appreciated. (keep in mind, dad's gotta like it too đ)

Itâs awesome that youâre doing this! I wish that I had something to suggest, but I donât know much about what teen girls are reading these days, particularly in the mystery/crime/horror genre. (I have a 10 year old son who loves graphic novels.) I hope someone else can help!
