I'm 21 and I want to start reading again like I did when I was younger but I don't know where to start without the scholastic book fair lol. I really loved the whole Percy Jackson and False Prince by Jennifer Neilsen series but that's all I can remember unfortunately. The adventure/thrill aspect really kept me interested and wanting to read more

Now that you are older, maybe try Hunger Games. It’s a good story that is typical and makes sense for a dystopian society, and the writing is easy on the brain. Maze Runner is good too, especially if you were vibing with Percy Jackson. If you want more adult and violent, which both of those definitely have some, try Red Rising saga by Pierce Brown. The trilogy eases you in with a single point narrative from your main protagonist, then the next set of books have more expansive world building and multi POV, so you can build up in complexity as you go. It’s a very expansive space opera that stays in our solar system, not very heavy on science but heavy in themes and anarchy and rebellion. I love all of these!
If you are back to reading as almost a newbie, I suggest something fast-paced and fun. Vengeance and Honour by Ben Dixon had that in spades. Great characters, an exciting adventure and still humour too. Not too long either.
