So I have pretty much never come across a story that takes place (mostly) in a chemical laboratory environment.
Doing analyses and or syntheses, the typical stuff you do in a lab. These things do not have to be the main topic but it being mentioned and or explained every now and then would be nice.
It should be a novel, the theme does not matter.

I think Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus does this (but I don’t remember exactly to what extent)
