recommend me a book that feels like “lover, you should’vd come over” by jeff buckley

i’m looking for a book that has a romance aspect but feels like either “lover, you should’ve come over” or “fade into you” by mazzy star. i want to feel connected to this couple but maybe it doesn’t work out even though they so badly want it to. something that will have me devastated and thinking about them for days after. bonus points if its the man that’s yearning, but i do also like sapphic novels. they don’t necessarily have to not end up together but it feels fitting. thanks!
