I’m going on vacation, help me build my reading list.
The last books I read and loved:
* Lonesome Dove, Larry McMurty
* Secret History, Donna Tartt
* The Persian, David McCloskey
* the hallmarked man, Robert Galbraith
* A spy at war, Charles Beaumont
* Demon copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver
* Matterhorn, Karl Marlantes
I love historical fiction, spy novels, crime fiction. Looking for something new to get my teeth stuck into.

The Company of Strangers by Robert Wilson is a really good stand alone spy novel.
If you loved Matterhorn you should try Deep River by Marlantes. It’s historical fiction about a group of young Finns/Swedes moving to the PNW and logging in the early 20th C against the backdrop of the wobblies and WWI. I found it totally engrossing.
