Some of the books I enjoyed:

    • Hidden Pictures by Jason Rekulak – Little children drawing creepy shit, and the drawings are actually included, such a fun experience
    • Strange Pictures by Uketsu – Seemed like short stories but after the last one tied everything together, holy guacamole, anything with pictures is always fun
    • Next of Kin by Kia Abdullah – My favourite by far, as an aunt to a soon to be 3 yo child of a friend, I felt it hard, usually gets distracted by my phone a lot but this one I wanted to keep reading

    Ones that were alright:

    • The Housemaid Series by Freida McFadden – H_rny as f, I'll read smut if I wanted that, but if I look past that, it's decent, I like the craziness
    • Strange Buildings by Uketsu – Interesting but confusing
    • The Surrogate Mother by Freida McFadden – Also just another h_rny, affairs love story with crazy, not the good kind

    Ones I didn't enjoy:

    • The Picasso Heist by James Patterson – Finished it, plot and characters are interesting but the writing style makes it so hard to understand sometimes, didn't know what's happening with all the chapter jumping from one time or perspective to another
    • The Midnight Feast by Lucy Foley – Don't know where it's going, also keeps jumping around
    • Rock Paper Scissors by Alice Feeney – Starts off boring, then gets interesting then it drops and becomes boring again
    • The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides – When will it get interesting?

    1. Secret Dinner by Raphael Montes, definitely one of the best thriller writers (in my opinion).
The author will be published in English soon, I highly recommend it. This book stayed in my mind for months, I’ll never forget The Enigma of Seagull Meat.

(There’s another one, Perfect Days…but that one has a kind of Joe de You vibe)
