im in college, living abroad and miles away from my parents. im terribly melancholy and homesick.
does anyone have any book recommendations? i dont want comforting books, just something to identify with that helps me wallow for a bit. thanks! any genre, any kind

The Island of missing trees by Elif Shafak
In a way, The Secret History by Donna Tartt gave me that feeling. It’s weird bc he’s not homesick for his home of parents but homesick for wanting so badly to belong that it’s to his own detriment.
