Any recommendations for books that deal with loneliness or not being like anyone first choice? Not being anyone's best friend or go to person?
Or just really sad books in general?
I haven't read any in a while and was in the mood for one! Thanks for the recommendations ๐

Not on the not being anyone’s first choice but for loneliness there’s I Who Have Never Known Men by Jacqueline Harpman which is about very literal loneliness, or if you’re okay with YA there’s a book called Across the Universe which deals with loneliness of there not being anyone like you.
Paper Castles by B. Fox is like that.
Too Loud a Solitude by Bohumil Hrabal, Hour of the Star by Clarice Lispector, Miss Macintosh, My Darling by Margarete Young, Teach Us to Outgrow our Madness by Kenzaburล ลe
