Hi! My boyfriend’s dad’s birthday is coming up and I’d love to get him a great book for it. He like the girl with the dragon tattoo series, rowling’s books under Galbraith and Lee child. So thrillers mainly. He isn’t super into gore or excessive violence though. And a huge bonus would be a book with a martial arts element because he’s very into that. Other things I’d say he’s interested in is geopolitics or war elements? Thanks for any help!!!

John le Carre is a good shout usually – Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. Or the Slow Horses novels by Mick Herron. Also Red Sparrow by Jason Matthews. They’re all spy and geopolitics stuff.
