Suggest me a book that is similar to murderbot diaries in concept, but with less suspense and violence

I like murderbot diaries because it explores how technology will be treated/used by different types of political entities in a future where humans have colonized other planets. I find this kind of fiction (I think it is called speculative fiction?). I like linear storytelling also. But I would prefer to read things with less violence. What have you got to suggest?
