Looking to get a book for my girlfriend, not a big reader but I suspect that is because she hasn’t really found any that interest her. She’s been recommended a lot of smut and given some to read from her friends and I don’t believe she enjoys it a lot. Any suggestions? She’s also not into fantasy. I was considering true crime or other non fiction, maybe some fiction but unsure where to start in that realm.

If you’re thinking true crime then the obvious go to of that genre is In Cold Blood by Truman Capote. Its basically the first true crime book, mainstream at least, and its very good.
