I want to get into reading physical books. I don't know what I like, don't know how to find a book I will like. I enjoy documentaries and movies based on true events. I like mysteries as well. any recommendations on who to start with and what to try?

Take a trip to the library and talk with the librarian until you get a feel for what you like. Cost…zero dollars. You can check out a few to sample them.
Killers of the Flower Moon, by David Grann
Blitzed by Norman Ohler is WWII history but reads so crazy that it could be fiction. Ohler really immerses you as well with his writing style!
You have not really provided enough like age ? female main character ? what type of documentaries ? what type of movies ? what type of mysteries ? do you like science/tech ? spicy ? Urban fantasy ? Vampires ?
I suggest you follow that post that recommend you go to the library and ask a librarian you can also skim through a few books to find ones you like.
But some easy ones:
– **[Down and Out in Paris and London](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/393199.Down_and_Out_in_Paris_and_London)**
Well if you like documentaries.
– **[Salt: A World History](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2715.Salt)** – history / non-fiction
– **[Imperial Twilight](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/36296465-imperial-twilight)**
