Can anyone suggest a memoir/biography about someone who got a "late start" in life and found success (or at least a sense of fulfillment)?
I'm at a point in my life where I'm finally allowing myself to pursue personal interests after decades of people pleasing and staying on the "straight and narrow". I'd love to be inspired by others who have allowed themselves to dream new dreams and pursue new things as adults.
(Note: I'd prefer to avoid stories with graphic descriptions of trauma/abuse.)

You might really connect with Tiny Beautiful Things and Wild by Cheryl Strayed.
Tiny Beautiful Things is not a traditional memoir ..it’s a collection of advice columns but it reads like one. She writes with a lot of honesty about regret, reinvention, missed time, and the courage it takes to choose yourself later in life . Wild is her memoir about hiking the Pacific Crest Trail in her twenties after feeling lost and off-track. While it does touch on difficult life events, the heart of the story is about starting over, trusting yourself, and discovering strength you didn’t know you had.hope it helps
