My book taste is a bit all over the place. I think the common thread here is dystopian, stunning, emotional, and/or weird. What would you suggest based off of my tops?
Piranesi
I Who Have Never Known Men
Almond
Milkfed
Earthlings
Cleopatra & Frankenstein
The Safekeep
The Nightingale
We Could Be Rats
We Used To Live Here

Based on that list, you might like Amatka. It’s very quiet dystopian, strange and controlled in a way that slowly gets under your skin.
Klara and the Sun
Theo of Golden
The Natural Way of Things by Charlotte Wood
Annihilation by Jeff Vandermeer
Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro
Have you already read Station Eleven? That seeems perfect for you.
The Road (bleak but good)
The Vaster Wilds (also bleak but good)
The City of Ember series, I believe, should be a good fit.
Stories of Your Life and Others by Ted Chiang
The Hollow Kingdom
The Memory Police, by Yoko Ogawa
