Every night I dream vividly, often in vast and lonely settings. Many a night I find myself wandering cramped and labyrinthian passages of deceptively designed buildings. Think Kowloon Walled City, if its edifice was that of a castle or mansion. Then, inevitably, I break through to an outer wall and find that I'm many stories above-ground, taking in a spectacular and unfamiliar view of the surrounding landscape, only to turn around and plunge back into the depths of the impossible-to-navigate structure. There's something deeply comforting about this cramped and seemingly endless setting. Would anyone be able to recommend a book that would evoke a similar feeling?

House of Leaves.
Piranesi by Susanna Clarke
A Short Stay in Hell by Steven Peck
There’s one part of the sprawling Otherland series by Tad Williams that takes place in a world like this, with endless buildings, but it’s a really long series that moves through a variety of settings.
Void Star by Zachary Mason. Cityscapes reminiscent of Kowloon Walled City.
