I was a prolific reader for most of my 65 years, but I truly believe the internet rewired my brain into having a short attention span. I desperately want that feeling you can only get when reading but it’s been so difficult. I’ve started so many books only to lose interest.
Has anyone gone through this and do you have any suggestions?

Try some quick, light books back to back. Replace one dopamine hit with a different one. Think thrillers, romance novels, breezy reads. Get your brain back into the habit of enjoying reading.
Are you always trying to read the same way? Like try an e-book or an audiobook if you haven’t!
Same. I SO miss reading! I tried listening to audio books, but it wasn’t the same. I’m following this post on the off chance that someone has some good suggestions on how to get this love of reading back again! Fingers crossed!
I am a little older and in the same boat although I think of the issues as becoming choosy/judgmental. Not only have I consumed a lot of books and other media (I have the same issue with movie and TV shows) to compare to, I am also valuing my time more highly as the supply shrinks and don’t want to waste it on mediocre books.
