Hum by Helen Phillips! Very prescient–the world feels quite close to where we’re at now. Told in 3 parts, and each one has a horrifying twist. So so good.

I can’t vouch for the whole thing since I am still in the midst of it but I am loving Alchemised by SenLinyu. It is a dark fantasy and is about 1000 pages but I am having trouble putting it down. It’s odd because the actual pace of the story is a bit slow but something about the writing keeps me in my toes.

If you want dystopian and hard to put down, The Hunger Games still works for a reason. It moves fast and the character stuff really lands.
Station Eleven is another good one. More quiet, but I kept thinking about the people in it long after I finished.

I just finished Stephen King’s Fairy Tale – it was awesome. First book I’ve read in a while I couldn’t put down and recommended to everyone I know to read it!

If you enjoy present day SciFi with hidden bases, secret programs, self-inflicted threat to humanity, an alien organism and a very thought provoking take on where life on earth came from, then give Plateau Station by Mike Asher a definite go. It keeps you reading!

I am not a serial killer by Dan Wells. I loved every minute of it. Awesome character development. Twists. Quick and easy to read. And there are more of them if you love it, but the first one absolutely can stand alone if need be.
