I’m currently 38 weeks pregnant and have been reading books to prepare for birth, baby and postpartum. I’ve reached the end of my TBR pile and am looking for a fast-paced fiction book to read. I’ve enjoyed the books I’ve read in preparation for this next phase of life, but I need a book that really excites me. I like mystery/thrillers, smut, and YA fiction. I wouldn’t mind a series — something I can continue to read during nighttime feeds once baby is here.
I’ve already read all of Sarah J. Maas and a lot by Frieda McFadden.

Jana DeLeon Miss Fortune series and Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich are both laugh out loud light mysteries.
Dungeon Crawler Carl if you’re willing to give sci-fi litrpg a go.
