Any books about the nature of a leader vs a follower?

I've been thinking about this concept, of how there are 2 kinds of people. Those few who create and the rest that follow them.

A writer or a reader. A musician or a music enthusiast. A producer and a consumer. Someone who comes up with an idea and the one whoo follows it. A trendsetter and a trendhopper.

I ask this because I am really curious about the personality anf character of a leader, how they become to be. If it is a trait from birth or one earned through being a follower at first.
