I just kinda need this right now.

I’d like to see an empathetic depiction of a woman having to walk the tightrope between temptation and stigma on her way to a sober future that just feels real, ups and downs and all. Not forgiven for the wrongs she did because of the addiction just for the fact that she is an addict, but also not judged for the addiction itself by the narrative, if that makes sense. I’d like her to have a happy or at least hopeful ending.

Bonus points if she’s queer ig

    Thank you

    1. It’s a horror book, and it’s quite dark, but *The Night That Finds Us All* by John Hornor Jacobs might fit this description.
