I’m trying to get into reading over the next few months as an 18 year old. Do you have any good book recommendations for me? I’m after something that is really easy to read as I don’t have the best attention span. In terms of genre I’m open to most things. I was considering Into the Wild as I love the movie and also heard about Butchers Crossing as well as red rising although I’m not all that into sci-fi or fantasy. What would you recommend?

    1. What genres do you generally like? What kinds of stories would you be interested in? Is SFF a total miss for you or would you be interested in lighter scifi? Are you open to reading middle grade books? They’re easier.

Before I suggest a book: What are your hobbies? What interests you? What makes you curious? Any other movies or TV shows you like?

Holes by Louis Sachar. I read it on a bus ride once thinking it was just a quick kids book and ended up finishing half of it before my stop. The chapters are really short and it moves fast, so it’s super easy to stay hooked.

I suggest Red Rising. I almost never read sci-fi or fantasy, but that book grabbed me on page one and never let go. The whole series is excellent.
