I'm looking for a book where the main plot is more focused on a larger conflict (mystery, political drama, etc), but has a sideplot romance between the lead characters. Ideally set in pre-modern times or fantasy world.
I've recently read a lot of grim novels, so would appreciate something with lighter themes. Or at least avoids explicit descriptions of dark topics. Please let me know if there are any books like this!

House of marrione is a good one
– Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson (Fantasy) has an amazing romantic sideplot
– Elantris (same author) too
Thousand autumns by Meng Xi Shi – low fantasy more historical. There is religious conflict, political conflict and ideological conflict between main leads.
