I've been re-reading Larry McMurtry's Lonesome Dove, which I do every few years anyway, but this time was spurred by Robert Duvall's passing. One of the unique — to me, at least — characteristics of McMurtry's writing is that the point of view frequently changes from one paragraph to the next. I cannot think of another book where the POV changes so abruptly.

Can you name another author who does this?

    1. In one of Frank Herbert’s books, I think *the Jesus Incident,* he changes POV 2 or 3 times in some paragraphs alone.
