Echoes on the Boot: 45 Interconnected Stories Along the Via Francigena Pilgrimage from Switzerland to Rome
by James Colton
A kind of out there recommendation, but I would suggest A Place to Stand by Jimmy Santiago Baca.
>”A Place to Stand is the acclaimed memoir by Jimmy Santiago Baca, chronicling his journey from an illiterate, abused childhood to becoming a celebrated poet after his time in a maximum-security prison. The book details his harrowing experiences with addiction, crime, and incarceration, and his profound self-transformation through reading and writing poetry while in prison, ultimately finding his voice and identity.”
