Story book for kindergartners

I have been asked to be a mystery reader for my son’s kindergarten class! This is a group of 5 year olds who get to sit and listen to me read them a story. Please, any ideas for a short-ish story book for kindergartners!

I ask for short-ish in consideration of my son. He has autism and likely also ADHD. His attention span is quite short. I want him to enjoy this and not be triggered by having to sit still too long. He loves care, trucks, heavy equipment etc but really I am open to peoples ideas for a kids storybook.
