I’m looking for the kind of book you can’t put down. The kind that hooks you so hard it feels unhealthy. The story flows, the writing is sharp, you’re having the best time, and suddenly it’s 3am and you don’t even care.
Any genre is fine. Just give me the book that had you fully obsessed and slightly feral about it.

Surface Detail, Iain M Banks. The book *opens* with the murder of the main character and doesn’t slow down from there. It’s such a bonkers ride and is among the best sci fi I’ve ever encountered. I adore that book.
The Song of Achilles. That book completely destroyed me. Recently I also got weirdly obsessed with From Rejected Mate to Luna on [novelflow.app](http://novelflow.app), the whole rejected-mate storyline turns into this addictive emotional spiral where you just keep reading to see him realize what he lost.
